On To New Adventures!

I can hardly believe that it's almost August already.  The past year has been such an adventure for me and I'm ready for more.  I don't think many people have the same definition of adventure as I do, but that's fine.

I've had the opportunity in the last year to build a few websites and blogs and start planning for what I've been dreaming of for quite some time:  working at home doing what I love.

How To Attract Blue Jays To Your Yard (or, garden's got the blues, part II)

A family of six jays came to the yard this morning, and stayed for lunch, a drink and a bath.  I sat in the middle of the yard with my camera, and took these pics.  They seemed to enjoy my company, posing and looking at me in wonder, but unphased and unafraid.

We've have the same adult couple return every summer for the last few years, and they come down to the peanut plate when we shake the container to call them.  Most of these pictures are of the juveniles who are getting familiarised with 'the lay of land'.

The 'After' Pictures- Found Objects Made New Again

As promised, after many rained out weekends and family life in between, the pictures of my recycled found objects are ready for your viewing pleasure. You may remember the dilapidated ladder and old wooden benches from Recycling Found Objects Into Garden Masterpieces.  They are now a prominent part of the yard and have a place to call home.

All the pieces I worked with were either left to rot and waiting to be rescued, or taking up space in the shed with no purpose at all.
